I'll also try using the printer dialogue with Elements as you suggested and I'm sure it will produce the same results. Too bad Ilford's website didn't include a warning that their guidelines don't work with the Mac's version of Photoshop Elements. All other color settings were not touched as you mentioned. Then I selected, Color Adjustment, Color Management, and input the ICC printer profile supplied by Ilford. It only allows me to specify Canon media so I chose Semi-gloss thinking it was closest to the Ilford Smooth Pearl paper I have.

When the print dialogue comes up, under the Color Correction heading, change the pull down menu to "ColorSync". The Photoshop Elements team are aware of the problem and are working with Apple and the printer manufacturers to get this to work correctly. I do not understand how I can modify the printer driver as so many posts reference changes but do not seem to say how you do that. If I let the printer manage colour, I can't tell it about the Ilford ICC printer profile.
My problem is I must use the application to manage colour because that is the only option that allows me to set the ICC printer profile for the Ilford paper I am using on the Canon Pro9500 Mark II I bought yesterday. I have not tried it in Photoshop CS4 yet because I'm trying to get the simple stuff to work first. I get the same magenta-shifted colour on prints in Aperture and worse in Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 for Mac. I have spent hours trying to understand this and am tired and confused.
